Curious about Cohousing?

Are you interested in:

·        Living lightly on the earth.

·        Knowing and working cooperatively with your neighbors.

·        Reducing your household chores (cooking, cleaning, yardwork).

·        Sharing resources (woodshop, bikeshop, art space, kids play area).

If you’re looking for an alternative to how you live, attend this informational session on cohousingcommunity oriented, cooperatively managed, but independently owned housing

Did you know that one of the first cohousing communities in the US was built on Bainbridge Island?

Did you know that the Pacific Northwest has one of the highest concentrations of built cohousing communities in North America?

Did you know that there are over 110 built cohousing communities in the United States?

What you can expect from the session:

Learn what cohousing is - the Danish roots and its US history as well as see a narrated slideshow of cohousing communities.  Ask questions.  Get answers from a local cohousing expert.  Meet others who are interested in community.  Learn about next steps you can take in your quest for community.

Those interested in forming a Study Group I (10-part series of discussions to prepare you for possible participation in senior cohousing) will be meeting at the same space from 4-5pm.
